Mixes is a remix album by C418, originally released as BAM #42 - The C418 before being released on Bandcamp on October 1, 2009. The album features a continuous mix that appeared again on albums like 148, most songs are remixes from previous BAMs, also containing remixes from 2 and original songs, all original versions of the remixes appear on oldgarbage.zip.

This is some really old material from when I was still learning the ropes of making music.

bps and mixes are really old records. I started making music in 2006, and both of these released in 2007, so bear that in mind when you listen to them and judge me for being a bad composer or something like that, lol.
Both of them are essentially the same thing. They are a compilation of songs that I made put into a mix. They used to be two singular songs, but I cut them up for the sake of making sense of it all.

• Along with Confusion, this track first appeared in BAM #41 - The Preview before being released in BAM #42.

Trivia

• This is the only track which remixes a song that never appeared on BAM (since the original version of Pink appeared as part of BAM #30).
• While most of the album is upbeat and dance-like, the first part of this track is slower. Oddly, the original pluginwert was in a more similar style to the rest of the album.
• Kitten is the longest track of Mixes.

• It seems to have been at least inspired by BAM #30.

• The making of this track was released as an hour long video in two parts on Vimeo. The first part is here and the second part is here. This is the only song that such a video has been released for.
• Along with Average C418, this is the only track that is a completely original song rather than a remix.
• C418 also has songs named no and Yes, but they are unrelated to this track.

Album trivia

• It is the twelfth shortest release by C418 (after YIFF DAD, 0x10c, The Driver, Mubbly Tower, bps, Zombie Dog in Crazyland, SINE, Catacomb Snatch, Cookie Clicker, 2 and random_stuff), being the seventh smallest album on Bandcamp.
• BAM #42 was also released on thesixtyone as The C418, Part 1. A part 2 is not known to have been released.
• A preview of this album, containing the first seven minutes, was released as BAM #41 - The Preview (or completely new and original song, referring to how it remixed previous BAMs).
