The basic details are all here, but if you know some fun facts on these tracks, you should add them.
The Whatever Directors Cut is an album by C418 originally released on his BAM blog and later published to Bandcamp. It was produced as an experiment by him in only two weeks, prioritizing quantity over quality. It was later removed from Bandcamp by him due to his distaste for the music.
This album (it really is a full album) was fun to make.
When I had really a shitload of work to do, I asked myself if I still would be able to make music. So I started creating an album as fast as possible. I didn’t care for quality. All I wanted was quantity.
So here it is. An album actually created in under two weeks.I have to admit, most of the songs are stupid. But I think there are at least 4, maybe 5 that are worth a listen.—C418, C418.org (old website)
THIS IS UTTER SHIT. I was just insulting people with it. Do yourself a favour and leave this alone. entirely shitty. intended trash. quantity. not quality.—C418, Bandcamp (old website)
It was essentially an album I created in under a week.
The idea was that I was doing my dayjob for about 50 hours a week, and I was wondering if I could ever create music ever again because I was so tired every day. So I tried making an album as fast as I could possibly accomplish. Naturally it wasn't supposed to be good. In fact I tried to make it as bad as possible, haha.
Someone once said that you are only as good as your very last portfolio entrance. That was Whatever, so I kinda sorta hid it away, haha.Seriously, it's pure garbage.—C418, Reddit
